Honouring the Canadian Scottish with Original Music by Youth Composers (Currie Room, upstairs)

In commemoration of the 80th Anniversary of D-Day, the Music for Veterans Project is honouring eight soldiers from the Canadian Scottish Regiment who bravely landed in France on June 6, 1944.  Talented Vancouver Island youth between 11 and 17 years of age have composed original music to pay tribute to each fallen hero.

Join us on June 1st at Bay St. Armoury in Victoria, BC at 1 p.m. (13:00) for a special performance showcasing these heartfelt compositions to honour these soldiers and acknowledge the Canadian Scottish family. To learn more about attending this event and to stay up to date, please subscribe to our newsletter and follow Music for Veterans Project on Facebook.

Special thanks to Royal Commonwealth Society Vancouver Island for helping us preserve these poignant melodies for future generations. Your support is instrumental in ensuring that the memory of these courageous soldiers endures through the timeless medium of musical recording.
